Appointment of Awards & Activities Director

The Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of our new Awards & Activities Director, Brother Kelton L. Ashcraft.


Kelton (He/Him) is a Life Member of the Zeta Xi Chapter at Tyler Junior College and Lambda Pi at the University of Texas at Tyler. He earned an Associate of Arts in Music from Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Tyler. As an active member, Kelton served in several leadership roles, including Historian, Vice President, and Chapter Delegate for both of his chapters. After graduation, he continued his involvement with the Southwest District Alumni Association (SWDAA), where he served two terms as Member-at-Large from 2021 to 2023. During this time, he introduced engaging programs such as Fantasy Football, the SWDAA Social & Graduating Senior Lunch at Convention, and helped moderate SWDAA TalkShop discussions. Additionally, Kelton has contributed to the KKPsiAA Programs & Professional Development Committee, the National Data & Assessment Committee, and the Friend & Advocate Initiative - Alpha Cohort. In the upcoming term, he will also be serving as a Petitioning Group Advisor. Kelton is the recipient of the 2023 Zachary T. Stoddard Young Alumni Award and the 2024 SWDAA Dionicio “Dino” Cardenas Alumni of the Year Award.


Professionally, Kelton is in his first year as Director of Bands at Waskom ISD, a 2A band program in Texas. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the program, including recruitment, retention, finances, and curriculum. Previously, he served as Assistant Band Director at Daingerfield ISD and Director of Bands at Mildred ISD. He currently resides in Daingerfield, Texas, with his wife, Aurora Ashcraft, two dogs (Shelby & Boh), and four cats (Ali, Oliver, Bandit, & Tonks). In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and watching football.
