Aubrey Lauren Blakley (Kappa Mu) 1994-2024

Undrea and Jerome welcomed Aubrey into the world on July 5, 1994 in Atlanta, GA. She was the second of seven children. Aubrey was an avid reader and loved singing as a child. A picky eater, she enjoyed cereal, chicken nuggets, Oreos, Ritz crackers, and Chef Boyardee. She started playing the clarinet in middle school and fell in love with band. She graduated from Carlton J. Kell High School in 2012 and received her BA from the University of Georgia in 2019. Aubrey was in the Redcoat Marching Band and she was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Sigma Alpha Iota fraternities. She shared her love of music with future generations and was a music teacher at Murphey Candler Elementary School and Salem Middle School. She danced with DanceFx in Athens, GA and her perfect day was spent at the beach. Aubrey accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on September 24, 2023.


Aubrey’s passing is a tremendous loss for her family and friends. She was an incredibly loving and supportive person. She had a radiant smile, which she shared with everyone. Aubrey saw beauty and goodness in the world and she appreciated the small things in life. She lived life to the fullest and the memories made with her will be treasured forever.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Barbara Blakley, and her maternal uncle, Christopher John Mass.


Aubrey is lovingly remembered by her parents, her sisters, Morgan (Alex) Papalazaros, Jessica, Rachel, and Leah; her brothers, Tyler and Miles; and her nephew, Jeremiah Blakley-Solis. She is also in the hearts of her surviving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and countless cousins. Aubrey also leaves behind her cat, Roscoe.
